Hey, I’m cameron

I first started working website solutions on the internet back in my college days when mySpace was still around. There was always this fascination with being able to move things around on the page. Mostly frustration though…know what I mean?

Fast forward 10 years and I’ve found myself smack dab in the middle of a small web design company, working on growing and improving our processes. We often times take on way more work than we can handle, causing burnout and yes, frustration.

I got tired of all that. In my mind, I thought this shouldn’t be so freaking hard. I was right. It’s really not.

The key element I’ve found is simplification.

There are so many tools, services, and opportunities that it can cause serious tired head trying to think through the best options.

Luckily, you’ve landed here and I’m going to share my hours and hours of research to help you save time and straighten out your business.

What’s WP Toolbelt all about?

It’s simple, really. I’m going to share reviews on products, provide you with free resources to help you streamline your business, and provide you a sounding board if you run into any issues.

In the future, I’ll be developing some courses to walk you through specifically how to fix the bottlenecks in your business. This will help you seriously improve, automate, and outsource time-killing aspects of your business.

As I mentioned above, it’s not hard, but it does take work. However, once you’ve cleaned out all the pieces slowing you down, you’ll be able to focus 100% on growing your business instead of how to troubleshoot the white screen of death.

What should you expect?

First of all, I will be honest in everything I put on WP Toolbelt. I take pride in being an honest person and I never want to steer anyone in the wrong direction just to make a quick buck.

If you’re looking for the 0 to $75K/month in 20 days type situation, well, this may not be the place for you. For those of you that are looking to put in the work and seriously overhaul your business to free up your time and make a great living for you and your family, you’ve come to the right place.

Throughout the site, you’ll see some links to services, tools, and more. I’ll be upfront with you and let you know those are affiliate links, meaning I’ll get a small commission from the company I’m promoting if you decide to sign up. No markup on pricing or anything like that. Simply a fee for referring you to that company.

I do want to drive the point home that I will never recommend anything I haven’t used or reviewed personally. How would I know about that service if I haven’t used it? Again, I’m not here to make a quick buck.

I’m here to build a community of like-minded Web Designers who want to build a business that allows them to have freedom of choice in their day while providing a great living.

The future of WP Toolbelt

If you’ve ever tried starting businesses, you know how many ideas you can come up with on what you what to accomplish.

I have plenty of ideas to share with all of you, but I’m going to let them organically come to light instead of providing content overload.

Some of these ideas might include:

  • Complete project roadmap: start to finish of building a specific website
  • Business course on improving, automating, and outsourcing for Web Designers
  • Facebook community
  • Job listings

I could go on and on, but in reality, these are just ideas. I want to find the best way possible to help you grow your business. That’s my purpose and it’s what I will strive to do starting here and now.

I’ve been using WordPress to build all sorts of sites for the past 5 years. From blogs to corporate sites, eCommerce to complex website solutions for companies that need to tie-in additional functionality.

Over the past few years I have helped grow our web design business into a six-figure company.

In this journey, I’ve discovered a missing piece for designers like you and me – real examples of how to build websites for different markets. Sometimes, we just need solutions.

I’ve googled pretty much anything and everything you can think of to discover these solutions, while getting frustrated trying to figure it out.

My Experience

I am no expert in php. I don’t have a computer science degree, but I know how to think creatively to provide solutions for our clients.

It’s all in the research, tools, and resources.

Often times, we tend to overcomplicate what we’re trying to accomplish, and if there’s not a solution or plugin readily available, the frustration only grows.

It doesn’t have to be that hard!
